Heads and Things

A few more of the exciting things I encountered at the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery included the display of armour and the fantastic heads from the exhibit ‘Expression’.

DSC02564Kelvingrove800 Warriors often cover their faces with visors or masks.  This gives protection but also frightens enemies by making the warrior look less human.  The blank visors above are especially chilling.

  1. Oh, those heads are spooky... Love those shiny armours, though, even though there are no knights inside ;) Together the pictures stir up all kinds of images from favourite books for me: King Arthur, and Dickens, and Harry Potter and what-not... Thanks for sharing!

  2. Eerie floating heads! Some great expressions. I think I'd love all that armour but I guess you're not allowed to touch it and I know I'd want to.

  3. The little men remind me of the movie, Night at The Museum :)
