A bright but overcast, warm and windless afternoon on a Bank Holiday Monday in May brought out the crowds in West Kirby on the Wirral. The tide was low and the Island of Hilbre enticed the walkers over. Whilst it brought back many memories of youth it certainly didn't evoke any desires to return to it. 'It' being defined as both West Kirby and my youth! For more information on Hilbre Island click on the heading to this post.
