The Last Swim?

My friends have left to go to the market in Civray and I am waiting for David to come and take me back to Villeneuve from whence he set off some 2 ½ hours ago.  It's been a glorious week here with temperatures reaching the high 30s.  I've done a lot and I've done a lot of nothing.  Before I left Villeneuve I spent time one afternoon enjoying a friend's swimming pool.  This week I've been enjoying John and Sue's pool in the heat of the afternoon.  The weather changed last night though and it looks as though the rest of our stay in France will be in cooler and more indifferent weather.  So I think this may have been my last outdoors swim until New Zealand offers me the opportunity again.

Yes, I always wear my trusty Tilley Hat when swimming in 37 deg full sun.  I don't have the luxury of a head of hair to protect me!

  1. I love that hat!! Ray doesn't have the luxury either, Graham. He doesn't go out very often without his hat...and every once in awhile, he'll think it's a good idea to get some sun up there for a little color and he usually gets more color than he bargains for :)

  5. There's noting like being in water to uplift the spirit, is there? And would GB be GB without the hat? Great scene!
