CJ and I drove to South Lochs yesterday morning. It's a long time since I visited its extremities and I was astonished at how much I'd forgotten about the area: one of the things about living in a place is that you tend to take things for granted. Anway we ambled around and took in the views and the occasional bird including a Stonechat. Although these birds are present all year apparently I've only ever seen them (to identify) in the summer. This little chap was quite a long way off but the telephoto lens just managed to get him.
