of waking in the morning to the views from my kitchen and study. I promise that I won't do this every day like I did when I was in Italy.

NOTES FROM THE ISLE OF LEWIS IN SCOTLAND'S OUTER HEBRIDES AND ANYWHERE ELSE I HAPPEN TO FIND MYSELF
Since I woke up today to pouring rain outside my windows (AGAIN) ... I really don't mind getting a an alternative view with a glimpse of the sun ;) It seems to have to fight for its right to shine over there, too, though. Very dramatic skies!
ReplyDeleteWe had an amazing day yesterday in that we chased the rain everywhere yet spend most of the day in the sun.
DeleteYour pictures are just beautiful and it really was the start of a glorious day. Have just got back from our walk to the beach. Stunning day.
ReplyDeleteYes, Pat, when the weather is good here it's very very good but when it is bad it is horrid. Where have I heard that before?
DeleteI think being so near the sea must be heaven! Which island is yours, GB?
ReplyDeleteI'm on the Isle of Lewis, Frances. Twenty miles out from the Scottish mainland in the Atlantic.
DeleteTruly beautiful.....I don't think I would ever be tired of seeing that view everyday either...
ReplyDeleteNo I don't think that you would Virginia.
DeleteGraham, it is good to know that I am not the only one who never tires of the view from their kitchen window... or of posting pictures of it :-)
ReplyDeleteNo Meike you are by no means the only one and I, for one, hope you keep on posting pictures of your view.
DeleteWhat glorious photos. Thanks for sharing. xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Carol.
DeleteAnd what exactly would be wrong with a post a day from your kitchen window?
ReplyDeletenothing at all is what I think!
DeleteThe few times I've been able to visit my cousin on Beaver Island (Lake Michigan), I always come home with a ton of sunrises and sunsets. I can't get enough of water and sky, especially together.
Well perhaps in the middle of winter people might get very tired of dark greyness!
DeleteOh my Lord, those are GORGEOUS!!! So dramatic. Actually, it might be kind of fun to see that view change from day to day.
ReplyDeleteI certainly never tire of it Lisa and, as a friend who is staying, has just said as I type this, we so seldom get the opportunity to just sit and look and think.
DeleteI think there would be something wrong with anyone who got tired of that view, GB. These are so dramatic - simply spectacular!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pauline. I'm conscious of the fact that just because I'm very enthusiastic about something doesn't mean everyone is. But then I never tire of your walks round the farm or your favourite tree.
