Photos at Last

Since I returned to Lewis I have hardly taken any photos.  In fact in three weeks until today I had taken fewer photos than I usually take in a single day.  So today I set out to remedy that situation.  Mind you it started well because the Scottish Mainland was highlighted very spectacularly by the early morning sun. For your information the coastline at its nearest point is 30 miles (48k) away from me.

  1. lovely! I don't get up early enough any more to photograph sunrises, only sunsets.

    1. I've always been a night owl and a dawn lark. It can be a bit hard in the Hebrides at midsummer when the sun only dips behind the horizon for a few hours.

  2. Wow, wow, wow! So very beautiful! I hope you took the time to really drink that in, as well as get some fantastic shots.

    1. I certainly did Lisa. I sat and marvelled for more than an hour.

  3. What a beautiful sight, well worth waiting for. And if I thought I had a sight like that waiting for me, I could even be tempted into getting out of bed early.

    1. It's odd isn't it because I think that your views are superb too. I suppose it's what one is used to. But you are right. I never get tired of this view.

  4. I could copy Pauline's comment! Wonderful. The last two could be paintings.
