Thanks to Heather I have a new banner heading for the blog. I’m really delighted. My header has always been rather boring: an appropriate sort of header for me I thought. Now that I’ve decided that I might be a tad less boring (if a tad more eccentric) I thought it was time for a change of blog image too. All I have to do now is learn how to add more pictures. I’m sure it’ll be within my competence. Hmm. We’ll see. Anyway I hope that you like it too. Thanks Heather.
Looking Back on Christmas Eve

Hmmm...now that I'm viewing it on my desktop, it appears a little larger than on my laptop. Maybe it's the wide monitor that I have on my laptop (where I created it). How is it appearing on your computers? I can make an adjustment to it's size so that it fits properly. It could just be my monitor's size.
ReplyDeleteStill, I think that it looks nice here :)
Really excellent! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI'm using my laptop and it is slightly wider than the screen (which is a wide screen). I hadn't originally noticed (oddly) but I had picked that up since. I was going to try different browsers before I said anything.
ReplyDeleteSee it now. One trouble it diverts me to PhotoFlashMaker. Just use Paintshop or Photoshop create a header and insert it. The verification is shift, me thinks one 'f' too many.
ReplyDeleteI do like the banner as such; it looks very nice. Re Heather's comment about size though: As I mentioned on the other blog, I always have to enlarge with at least ctrl+++ to be able to read blog texts at all. Banners and pictures don't adjust to that. So with large pictures part of it always disappears out of sight for me when I enlarge the text. That goes for all blog layouts of the "stretchy" full-screen kind. If I see the full picture I can't read the text, and when I enlarge the text I can't see the whole picture.
ReplyDeleteLove it xx
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you did anything special...but I am now on my desktop and it fits perfectly....maybe it was something that I had done on my side :)
ReplyDeleteHeather. I've done nothing but I have tried all the browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera, IE8and Chrome. It's the same in all of them. I've also tried my PC and it's the same. However by simply using Ctrl+- in each one it reduces the whole layout by 1 increment and the heading shrinks more than proportionately. It therefore shows in full. The cut-off at full size is very small though and the overall effect is still there. I think it's great.
