We're expecting a max of 35 Celsius today, and it's gorgeous out there, not suffocatingly humid and smoggy. Same yesterday, and I very much enjoyed my evening run across the fields with a friend! I had not seen her since before my holiday, and then she was away, so we had some catching up to do while we were running.
When I started running in 2009, I was told to use the ability to talk as a measure for the right speed. Only when I am on my own and of course at the CityRun I run too fast for talking :-)
Trying to catch up on blogs - I love this post! Reminds me of the one you posted that we saw somewhere - 'Closed due to sunshine!' or something like that.

We may be apart but when I look at the sky and remember that we are standing on the same earth, looking at the same moon, somehow you don't seem so far away after all.
LIFE
Life isn't about dawdling to the grave, arriving safely in an attractive, wrinkle-free body but rather an adventure that ends skidding in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, totally worn out, screaming "Yee-ha. What a ride!!"
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass… It’s about learning to dance in the rain. (With thanks to shabby girl ofA Travelling Fish)
But what are plans other than more restrictions? (With thanks to Pauline)
Feeling young is fabulous but growing old is a blessing!!! (A comment on this blog by Jaz who used to writeTreacy Travels.)
The trick to pushing 70, GB, is to push back -- hard!!! (A comment by Carol aka Canadian Chickadee who comments but does not blog)
Having lived the majority of my life in the Hebrides where my heart is, I feel I can now call myself a Hebridean. For nine years I lived half my life in New Zealand: a country I love. It was an honour being a part time Kiwi.

DeleteToo hot for fishing but much too hot for painting.
ReplyDeleteThe rain didn't clear the air. Muggy and midgy here.
Gales here on Lewis on Friday Adrian so no midges and, fortunately, no rain and some sun for my visitors.
DeleteIt's too hot for any outdoor activity here too....even fishing.
ReplyDeleteTrying my best to keep my plants alive in the heat.
I love the heat Virginia but suspect that that sort of heat would be quite beyond my limits.
DeleteAnd sunbathing, too, I hope.
ReplyDeleteSunbathing's not really a Lewis think Jenny. Occasionally some do but it's a pretty rare phenomenon.
