"Good morning," said Robin the robin. "Good morning," said Percy the pigeon. "What is that thing?" asked Robin. "It's an unwanted Yorkshire Pudding!" said Percy. "Are they good to eat?" asked Robin. "Good? Yorkshire puddings are blinking marvellous!" said Percy. "Have a peck!" "Mmmmm! Delicious!" said Robin, failing to notice the ominous shadow of a sparrow hawk swooping down. "Get the hell out of here!" yelled Percy. "Graham's back!"

We may be apart but when I look at the sky and remember that we are standing on the same earth, looking at the same moon, somehow you don't seem so far away after all.
LIFE
Life isn't about dawdling to the grave, arriving safely in an attractive, wrinkle-free body but rather an adventure that ends skidding in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, totally worn out, screaming "Yee-ha. What a ride!!"
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass… It’s about learning to dance in the rain. (With thanks to shabby girl ofA Travelling Fish)
But what are plans other than more restrictions? (With thanks to Pauline)
Feeling young is fabulous but growing old is a blessing!!! (A comment on this blog by Jaz who used to writeTreacy Travels.)
The trick to pushing 70, GB, is to push back -- hard!!! (A comment by Carol aka Canadian Chickadee who comments but does not blog)
Having lived the majority of my life in the Hebrides where my heart is, I feel I can now call myself a Hebridean. For nine years I lived half my life in New Zealand: a country I love. It was an honour being a part time Kiwi.
I wouldn't mind betting that the Robon held on to his prize. Sparky little birds.

DeleteHe looks like he's ready to defend his feed :-) Thanks for your comment at my blog, I did manage to find a job it's not in dentisty but that's ok.
ReplyDeleteAmy as Spesh said Robins are feisty little birds. I'm glad that you found a job.
DeleteLucky that birds and animals don't seem to notice relative sizes much. Otherwise there would be lots of scared little birds around!
ReplyDeleteJenny certainly where pigeons are concerned very few birds seem concerned. Perhaps they know that they are not a threat.
DeleteYou had to be quick to take this photo! Birds move so fast!
ReplyDeleteTrue Kay. I took quite a few and discarded quite a few of those.
