In four sleeps I leave Eagleton for Glasgow and then on Monday 1 February I leave for New Zealand. Hopefully I'll manage to blog more frequently than I have been blogging of late. If nothing else I should have more photos to show you. I was wondering whether to reawaken my New Zealand blog (which is what I originally intended) or simply continue here because this is, after all going to be a holiday rather than the other half of my life. My New Zealand blog has a lot more followers than this one does (and I noticed I lost another two today) so some of my old followers may miss my posts if I don't post there. On the other hand some of my current followers on this blog probably have never seen my other life. Well that's settled. I'll just copy the posts to both blogs. Apologies for those of you who will get two reminders. At least you'll only have to read the posts once though.
Rest today

Looking forward to your photos and hearing about your holiday. Have the best time. Be great to get away from this weather x
ReplyDeleteCarol it will be wonderful to get away from this dreadful weather.
DeleteLooking forward to reading them all! Safe travels GB
ReplyDeleteThank you Fiona.
DeleteTravel well, Graham. See you soon on this side of the world although I still think of it as the other side.
ReplyDeleteYes not long now Pauline and we'll be on the smae side whichever side it is.
DeleteThat sounds like a very good solution to your dilemma, Graham. I've not read your New Zealand blog...so I'll now use my left eye to read this one; and my right eye to read your Kiwi one! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's the advantage of having two eyes Lee.
DeleteYeah, it's a bit tricky with two blogs. If you have more followers on the other blog, you could maybe switch over there and continue there with your posts, both New Zealand and UK. Or you can ask your followers there to switch over. Anyways I'm looking forward to new images from your corners of the world. Have a safe trip.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mersad. I read your post on how to plan a trip a few days ago and it occurred to me how different it is when one is planning a trip and just returning to one's 'other home' even though it's a 'big trip'. Having one blog would be easier for comments I have to say.
DeleteHave a safe trip.
ReplyDeleteThanks Adrian
DeleteBut what if I WANT to read it twice?
ReplyDeleteSafe journey! See you soon!
Kate you can always start from the beginning again! See you soon - perhaps even sooner than you are expecting!
DeleteBoth your blots are on my reading list, and it is good to know that you'll parallel-post on both, so that I won't have to double-check in order not to miss anything.
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well with flights and other parts of your trip - I certainly don't envy you the looooong hours on planes, and hanging about airports in between!
Blots? Blame that on the not-yet consumed first morning coffee!
DeleteMeike you gave me a good laugh when I read the comment on my phone when I got up. It's just as funny now that I'm wide awake! Long hours on planes and in airports aren't much fun I have to agree.
DeleteNot sure if you have decided what to do, but suggest you just copy your post onto both blogs! Have a safe trip - not long now!
ReplyDeleteI think that's my preferred option at the moment Serenata. I suppose a bit will depend on internet access when I'm out and about.
DeleteWith the memory that some of us have two reminders (and even reading them twice over) may not be a bad idea!.
ReplyDeleteNow you certainly have a point there CJ.
DeleteI am green with envy that you are NZ bound again. Deciding which blog to blog upon is very much a first world problem... not like deciding who will carry the plastic water carrier across the bush to the water hole while desperately hoping that it hasn't dried up since yesterday.
ReplyDeleteYP you have made me feel ashamed. It is a very first world problem but then so are so many of the decisions we take aren't they? A friend used to have a pre-meal toast which we all shortened to "To being rich." The full toast was "To being rich: we have food on our plate, we have wine in our glass and we have friends to share them with. We are rich." That about says it all really.
DeleteWhat...only four more sleeps before you're off again to your other home?
ReplyDeleteSafe travels my friend.
Also I think since the two blogs were distinct (I have both on my Blog Roll) you can continue like you did before....just my humble opinion...BUT...whatever you decide as long as I get to read your missives I'm happy with that.
Hopefully, Virginia, you'll be able to read my missives one way or another.
DeleteHave a marvellous time, Graham, and please send us lots of photos. It's funny....I was going to say I'll miss you, but of course blogging means you'll be just as near. I shall eagerly watch both your blogs. How long are you away for?
ReplyDeleteThank you Frances. I'll do my best to take and post lost of photos. I shall be back around the middle of March.
DeleteOptimist as always, you are! ... thinking that you'll have more time to blog while away... But of course I hope you're right!!! :) Anyway I shall no doubt be keeping an eye on both your blogs to make sure I don't miss anything...
ReplyDeleteYou are so right Monica. I have enough problem allocating time when I'm settled at home.
DeleteYou could simply ask your followers, here, to follow you there :) I'm still peeking in on you as often as I'm able. May not always leave my footprint, but am truly thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteHeather we are like friends who meet after several years and carry on as though our last meeting was a couple of weeks ago. We'll always be like that.
DeleteI agree, Graham :)
