Morning Fog

Despite the recent storms we've had some beautiful days.  Although it was clear and beautiful here on the day I took these photos the mainland looking over towards Canisp and Suilvan was wreathed in fog.

    1. The beauty, Mersad, of living where I do is the ever-changing panorama I see from the kitchen window.

  4. Beautiful and dreamlike. Grey is the only colour I've seen in the sky here for a looooong time now...

  5. So that's why you live on the island! No fog. Let the other guys have all the fog. You did get some rather interesting photos.

    1. Fog is very unusual on the Island Red. Unfortunately the airport is at a location more prone to mist and fog than others even though it's infrequent.

  7. Easy to see why people love Scottish legends, when the weather and atmosphere are so spectacularly evocative. Lovely, lovely, lovely. xoxox DeeDee

  8. Magic! We've had beautiful sunrises, too, but of course the view from my kitchen window is nowhere near as spectacular as what you have there.

    1. Sometime Meike when the gales sweep across the sea and hit the house and garden it would be nice to be protected and enclosed but the rest of the time I prefer the big skies and wide open spaces.

  9. The fog is beautiful hugging the mountains so tightly, but I'm kinda glad we don't have fog here.
We are having so much rainy weather, it's making me feel quite dreary, and when the sun tries to peep out, the rain washes it away in an instant.
Hope we have sunny days again soon.

    1. I hope you have sun again soon too Virginia. One thing we have here is plenty of weather: sometime four seasons in a day.

  11. Stunning pictures of the mainland sir. Funny word that - "mainland". Why is it the "main" one? Sometimes small is best.

    1. A good point there YP. After all this is the centre of the known Universe. Don't Buddhists believe that self is the centre of the Universe? So in that case this would be the main land.

  12. magnificent shots, GB! I had wondered why I was not seeing you in a while. Apparently when I lost Scrappy Grams, I also lost you. :( So I clicked on your name on a comment you made on John's Facebook sharing about UKIP. Now to check if I'm following on your other blog. Wishes for a wonderful weekend.

    1. Thanks Norma. It's good to have you back. I've been commenting less recently in Blogland because of lots of things happening not least being nearly three weeks with almost no broadband at home although that problem has largely been overcome now: it's just exceptionally slow.
