does it happen that the thing you have lost turns up right in front of your nose? In my case they were really just in front of my nose or my eyes anyway. No I didn't lose my spectacles. I lost the locks for my suitcase. I couldn't find them when I flew to Northland. I knew that I'd put them somewhere very safe where I couldn't fail to find them which made it all the more irritating.
I've just found them. By accident. I feel really really really (and a 3xreally is my ultimate expression of feeling for anything) silly.
and here is at my eye level. I see it every time I remove a key.
That is silly....Really silly. My spare keys turned up in my wellies. I'd been wearing the boots every day for months and knew that I'd find them there. We have had a dry spell. It rained last week and there they were!
ReplyDeleteGood thing you "found" them before your trip.
ReplyDeleteMine are stored in one of my vanity drawers. Seems as if I will have to buy new locks when I travel again, since the TSA in the US cuts the locks off your luggage to carry out precautionary checks now. I lost two locks this way last year, and I'm not pleased. Those were good locks....the kind that can only be locked with the keys inserted, and I'd had them for MANY MANY years.
I'm sure I commented on this yesterday... Except, as I don't see the comment, I'm no longer sure. Maybe I never got from thought to action. Anyway, I remember thinking that I've not used my suitcases since I moved to present flat. I wonder if I know where I have the locks and keys...
ReplyDeletePutting things away in a really safe place always sounds like a good idea, right? But, no. Happens to us all the time, lol.
