Pat and I have 'discussions' over what is and what is not cute. Pat maintains that sheep are cute. I maintain that almost any other adjective would be more accurate. My version of the OED defines 'cute' as clever, shrewd, ingenious or attractive. I rest my case.
I would agree, however, that the young of many species can be described as cute (even lambs at a certain few weeks of their life). This baby Wheatear gets my vote for today.
