  2. That is calm. It's too hot here and we have pitchfork sharpening to do. I intend being ready for the peasants revolt. I am not sure what it entails as the peasants here are already pretty revolting.

    1. Adrian, it wasn't too hot here when I took that. Provided, that is, one didn't want to do anything which involved physical activity.

  3. So little time with football, Twenty/20 cricket, Wimbledon and The Tour to watch plus the grass to cut, let alone the usual housework and blogs to read, that photo stopped me in my tracks. Sigh!

    1. Potty I've not really watched soccer since my involvement in the amateur game half a century ago. I used to love the test matches but I've never got into Twenty/20. Wimbledon and The Tour will, however, be on my agenda when possible.

  6. Are you quite sure you haven’t been doctoring that photograph just a teeny bit? It looks way too blue and the island is much wider than I remember it.

    A lovely serene picture.

    1. Beverley, it's straight out of the camera. The photo was taken from The Braighe (the isthmus between Point and the rest of Lewis (ie on the way to Stornoway).

    1. When I saw this comment, Kylie, I suddenly wondered why mill ponds should be any calmer than other ponds. Having said that it's taken me seven decades to wonder that so I obviously have an accepting mind.
