An Envelope

I sometimes receive unusual mail. No one, though, can surely ever have received a letter in an envelope like tihs work of art which I received from my brother a little while ago:

  3. Adrian says it - brilliant is the word!
Cro's suggestion to frame it presents one problem, though - framed, you'd always only see one side of it.
    John really is an artist.

    1. Fortunately, Meike, the envelope is splittable into a front and a back so I can frame it.

  4. When I send a birthday card or whatnot I put little stars on the envelope. Stars don't quite match up to cotton bobbins and long tailed twits!
    Fabulous! you are loved

    1. Kylie I have a selection of stickers I use on envelopes - mostly also showing my name and address in case of non-delivery.

  6. I'm sure some of the mail sorters and delivery people would have stopped and had a good look at this just like you. Thanks for sharing.

  8. It is most surprising that this unique envelope reached your house as there is a big white sticker over your address. Is the pink border significant?

    1. YP, the pink border is there so that someone will ask "Why is there a pink border?"

    2. Hey, it's 2017. I have no problem if your stickers have pink borders but mine will be boy blue!

  9. I love them! Someone is very clever. However, I think the stupidest bird of all is the one whose name I can't remember, but who flies in straight lines until it bumps into something. And it's real!

    2. Oddly enough, Frances, that does strike a chord in what passes for my brain. However I can't get any further than that.

    3. Graham, I think I blogged about it a while back, but can't quite remember....

  10. Hahahahahaha! Unique and definitely worth keeping. It's a wonder the postie didn't keep them! :)

There are a lot of big-bottomed twits down this way! :)

  12. Glad to see he has a good sense of humour. It is great that he hasn't succumbed to the electronic age yet.

    1. Diane whilst my brother and I have embraced the electronic age since computers were made available for home use we both are also fairly (me) and very (CJ) prolific letter and note and post card writers.
