All I can say is WOW....make that a double....WOW WOW. I wonder if the father/son were rewarded with any fish. Such beautiful conditions may have caused the fish to be lying around, and not at all in a mood to eat any bait.
It was perfect fishing weather Virginia so I imagine they would have been very unlucky not to catch something for the pot. That's only an excuse for going out in the boat these days of course. Years ago it was a necessity.
Wow. Thanks Adrian. It's the Sony HX100V. I think it must know that I'm looking at alternatives at the moment and upped its game. I'd love to spend more time with the 7D whilst I have the opportunity but the reality is that whilst I'm living in two countries and travelling I'll use a bridge camera. It's so much lighter and more versatile.
these are amazing photos. I could sit in my chair at the breakfast bar all day and look at the amazing views. There is always something new to catch your eye.

Deletefabulous array of your sky views!
ReplyDeleteThanks Norma. The light changes constantly and I have big skies.
DeleteThese are as good as photographs get. The seascapes are as good as I've seen. Is this the 7D or have you given the bridge camera a good talking to?

DeleteThe alternative is the Sony NX-1 I think. Their full frame compact with a fixed 35mm lens. Or A S/H Leica M8 rangefinder.
DeleteThey still don't have the versatility of the bridge camera.
DeleteAnd that was all in one day? There is certainly enough in those pictures to keep one in awe for a long time.
ReplyDeleteAll in one day, yesterday, Meike. The first was taken around 0750 and the last around 12 hours later.
DeleteWow that rainbow is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt was a full semicircle double rainbow, Helen, but was too close even to get it all in with several photos stitched together.
DeleteStunning GB - what a fantastic changing scenery to see all day.
ReplyDeleteYes, Fiona, it never ceases to amaze me even after 4 decades of watching the changing scenes of the Hebrides.
