Good choice and I can almost feel the warmth of the fire from those photos. But I agree. Not what one wants this time of year. Here we're still in early summer, nature seems determined to catch up with itself and reaching average by shifting between extremes!
Stay warm my friend. I love my Saturdays to be sunny, but we have already had two rain showers for the morning. I'm still venturing outdoors today though.
It's quite odd Kay that I know quite a few of the quotes from "Gone With The Wind" even though I've never seen nor read it. I've taken it out from the hire shop in New Zealand several times but still never got round to watching it. I suspect that I'll never read the book because there are too many in front of it on my list.
It would have been my choice exactly, Graham. My heaters have not had a proper rest yet; most days in May I still needed them, too. Let's hope June will be warmer.

ReplyDeleteMonica it's one of the best things I ever bought for the house. It saves all the fuss and palava of a coal fire but is really toasty, instant heat.
DeleteI could do with that fire. It's cool and damp here.
ReplyDeleteSlight portability problem Adrian. When the time comes that we can dematerialise molecules and reassemble them in the correct order then perhaps.....
DeleteStay warm my friend.

It's been very cold outside the last few days Virginia but it's also been very sunny so the inside of the house has been quite warm since that night.
DeleteNice and cozy, you could read "Gone With the Wind" in front of that gas fire!
ReplyDeleteOr, you could read it later, "after all, tomorrow is another day"!

DeleteI know - crazy, isn't it! I've got the fan heater on as I write. It's not as nice as your fire, though !
ReplyDeleteJenny it is, as I said to Monica, one of the best things I've ever bought for the house. Toasty it is.

So far Meike June is not being much better than May. Oh well wotthehellarchiewotthehell.
DeleteI could do with a nice, warm fire tonight. Heaters aren't quite the same. Still, it's warmer than it was in Taranaki, so I'm thankful for that.
ReplyDeleteMost of the time Pauline I make do with the central heating but the gas fire is definitely more cosy to sit by.
