These are very strange days we are living in. Even stranger when an esteemed and articulate blogger creates a post that contains only seven words. This comment contains thirty words.
Football interests me not...but I am interested in Wimbledon...and am watching it! I just wish the Brits would put it on during the day and not at night!!!!! It doesn't start until 8.30 pm and goes through until dawn!! Come on now! Play fair!!! :)
You do know I am joking (about the timing, that is)! Late nights for me for the next fortnight...but I don't mind.
Lee living as I did in NZ 6 months of the year for 9 or 10 years I constantly had the problems of being either 11. 12 or 13 hours ahead or behind depending on which hemisphere I was in and whose daylight saving time it was.
Must admit I never heard of the Milton Keynes Rovers, or whatever they might be. By the way I wonder why teams are sometime called such names as "Rovers" or "Wanderers" There must be some historic reason.
Jenny when I read your comment it set me off trying to discover the reason for such names. Unfortunately other things seem to have taken over. It is, however, still on my 'to find out' list.
Comment moderation is activated 14 days after the post to minimise unwanted comments and, hopefully, make sure that I see and reply to wanted comments.

DeleteI saw the photo, little wonder they lost, they were all lying down and looked to be crying.
ReplyDeleteOne of your classic comments Adrian.

DeleteA bad week for England.
ReplyDeleteDiane I think Iceland is the only country that's had a good week.

ReplyDeleteWell YP, as you know I'm not renowned for my brevity but I have heeded Polonius's words on this occasion.
DeleteGoes to show that the length of a post has no necessary correlation with the length of its comments.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely true Meike.
DeleteIceland has a population of about the size of Milton Keynes. Just thought you might like to know :)
ReplyDeleteJenny perhaps more appropriately (does Milton Keynes have a football team?) it's about the same as Leicester which does have a very successful one.
