This year many of the flowers and bushes here are blossoming in greater profusion that I can ever recall. On the way back from Pat and Dave's on the other side of the valley yesterday I stopped to take this view. I can't seen the Island from my house but I can see the sweeping croft of Meadow Buttercups.

Oh, Graham...what a gorgeous setting!!
ReplyDeleteA grand sight.....considering the winter and drought everything is very green or in this case yellow.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely view! We have lots of summer flowers here as well just now (thinking of the wild flowers in the countryside surrounding the town)
ReplyDeleteTwo years ago (or was it three?) that croft was a mass of buttercups - I think they go in cycles and a wet April helped a lot of flowering and fruiting plants. I spent ages that year trying to get a photo that showed the mass of buttercups off to advantage but didn't succeed as you have done.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. What cheery, jolly little flowers.
