I stood on a beach this morning. As I stood there my footprint was suddenly consumed by the sea. It reminded me of just how transient life is.

NOTES FROM THE ISLE OF LEWIS IN SCOTLAND'S OUTER HEBRIDES AND ANYWHERE ELSE I HAPPEN TO FIND MYSELF
Transient, yes, but making drawings, footprints or writing words on the beach is on of my favorite things to do. Write whatever you want and be secure in the knowledge that the words won't come back to haunt you.
ReplyDeleteLovely posting but not sure about Pondside's comment. It only works if you don't photograph it. I just came across a slide - while scanning them in - of my first wife's name written in sand at Tolsta! It's OK, Jo doesn't read comments (indeed she rarely reads blogs) and the slide is now heading for the Wirral's landfill site.
ReplyDeleteThese are luminous photo's; with deep meaning for such a simple task. It's so true...
ReplyDeleteThe sunlight shining makes me feel warm :o)
I'm glad that I peeked in over here today...I needed this one for sure. I also added myself to follow, thank you :o)
