Limitations or not, no-one is as good at being me as I am (although, to be honest, I don't think many have really tried.)Paulinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15276284964859313257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6784891745623390957.post-54520213390938170282011-07-03T09:03:16.343+01:002011-07-03T09:03:16.343+01:00Graham I think you already answered your own quest...Graham I think you already answered your own question. I'd say that without setting goals from time to time we also won't know how far we can reach; but if we just find ourselves repeatedly failing or banging our head against the same old wall it may be better to start looking for either a different way around the obstacle, or a different goal. Generally I'd also say it's better to set goals step by step, and to stop and ask ourselves from time to time if we still want what we originally thought we wanted!DawnTreaderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04533307672147117843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6784891745623390957.post-83424274195251152212011-07-03T08:30:30.869+01:002011-07-03T08:30:30.869+01:00Jaz: I agree with you and your schoolchildren mus...Jaz: I agree with you and your schoolchildren must have benefitted from such enthusiasm. When I have coached I saw part of my role as helping people extend their belief in themselves but I also realised that pushing people beyond their talent usually ended up in frustrating disappointment.

Sue: You have taken being the Mater Familias to an artform.

Norma: I'll say AMEN to that too.

Monica: I'd not looked at it that way but certainly there are many unhappy people striving to be or achieve what for them is the impossible. Question: should they stop striving?

Lisa: Yes it does make sense. To me, anyway. We can all be better people (well I know I could be) but within the parameters of our talent.

Wendy: Yes. I've no doubt that I would have done too.

CJ: You are too kind. Loving people helps. How much of the rest is talent and how much is sheer doggedness may be open to discussion.Graham Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11196744947133121475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6784891745623390957.post-980286021109652122011-07-03T06:55:41.709+01:002011-07-03T06:55:41.709+01:00You underestimate your talent to entertain people ...You underestimate your talent to entertain people (and I'm not just referring to your hospitality and cooking skills!)and make them happy in your company. Your D.I.Y. skills are exceptional. And the ability to put your whole into any job you tackle can also be considered a talent.
