Bountiful Summer

Everywhere there is evidence of the bountiful fruits of summer.  The Rowan Trees (Mountain Ash to some people) are particularly beautiful this year:

  1. They look like they have little fires inside each one.

    1. They do Katherine: that's the secret of their beauty but only Special People see them.

  2. These can well be counted with the reasons why I love this time of the year.

    1. Most people seem to name Spring as their favourite time of year but I'm an Autumn lover. Possibly because I'm also a lover of Keats and the words of his Ode to Autumn have followed me since childhood. My love was heightened when I used to visit the English Lake District in Autumn and the colours and feeling in the air were beyond my powers of description.

    2. GB, could your love of autumn be connected to the fact that you don't have to face a British winter afterwards?

  3. Ours look like that too. I think I had some in my Friday Picture Book post.

  5. We don't have these trees here, but then again we don't have any mountains, so maybe that's why.
They're pretty and I love the red berries.
