How Sad Am I?

I’m this sad!   My ironing board broke.  I bought a new one.  It’s bigger and better and even has a little gadget for holding the flex of the iron.  I challenge you all to come up with a sadder post than this!

  1. Um. I thought it was a lovely, gentle, every-day and revealing post. Not sad at all! So there.

  2. Thank you so much, Katherine. You were obviously reading my post whilst I wqs trying to think up a suitable limerick. Without, so far, any success of relevance.

  3. Oh, I've come back: with a sad post I did in my early blogging days - it's about buying dusters... does it qualify?

  4. Oh yes. Now to show how sad I am I thought your post was most informative and I, too, have some of those dusters. As for having a dusty house you know who your friends are when one of them tells you that it's about time that you dusted your skirting boards. 'Oh' I replied 'You mean I'm supposed to dust skirting boards every year?'

  5. What's the matter with you? I'd be happy to have a new ironing board like that, especially with the extra what's-it to hold the cord.
And as for dusting, I simply claim my eyesight no longer allows me to see dust or cobwebs. (Which is partly true!)

  6. What's sad about it??? My ironing board squeaks and wobbles when I use it, the thing you're supposed to put the iron on is downright dangerous, and while I'm ironing I stare into a bookcase. If you want me to post a photo of it, just tell me. For the full sad effect it would really need a soundtrack to go with it, though, and I haven't learned how to do that yet.

  7. PS. Here's a blog post for you. I was going to go for the most dull perspective possible, but then I kind of started playing glad games instead...
